1. Payment Terms Overview
At Coastal Steel Buildings, we believe in transparent pricing and fair payment terms. This Refund Policy outlines how we handle payments for our steel building construction services. We encourage all clients to review these terms before signing a service agreement.
2. Deposit Requirements
To secure your project slot and begin detailed engineering and planning, a deposit is required upon signing a contract:
- Standard Projects: A deposit of 10-15% of the total contract value is required to commence work.
- Large Commercial Projects: Deposits may vary based on scope and material procurement requirements.
- Custom Fabrication: Full payment may be required for specialized, non-returnable materials.
3. Cancellations by Client
If you need to cancel your project, the following refund terms apply based on the project phase:
- Before Fabrication Starts: Full refund of deposit minus a nominal administrative processing fee (5%).
- During Fabrication/Construction: Refund of deposit minus costs incurred for materials, labor, and design work already completed.
- Post-Completion: No refunds are available once the project is substantially complete and accepted.
4. Cancellations by Company
In the unlikely event that Coastal Steel Buildings must cancel or terminate a project due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., supplier failure, extreme weather delays, or scope misrepresentation), the client will receive a full refund of any payments made, including the deposit.
5. Change Orders and Modifications
Changes to the scope of work after the contract is signed may incur additional costs or result in credits. We will provide a detailed Change Order form outlining any price adjustments before work begins on modifications.
6. Warranty and Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind our craftsmanship with a comprehensive warranty on labor and construction. If a defect arises due to our workmanship within the warranty period, we will repair or remedy the issue at no additional cost to you.
- Structural Integrity: 10-year structural warranty.
- Workmanship: 2-year workmanship warranty.
- Manufacturer Warranties: Pass-through coverage for steel materials and roofing systems.
7. Dispute Resolution
If a disagreement arises regarding payments, refunds, or project completion, we strive to resolve issues amicably through direct communication. Should a resolution not be reached, both parties agree to binding arbitration in Baldwin County, Alabama.
8. Processing Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of the decision. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction. Bank fees or wire transfer costs may be deducted from international refunds.
